Saturday TBA 9:00 AM French Quarter Walking Tour I Begins at 826 St. Ann Street Take a guided walking tour through the historic Vieux Carre' the French Quarter. Discover the history elegance and mystery that makes the French Quarter unique. Conducted by a licensed tour guide. The tour guide will discuss history architecture and insights that only a "local" will know. The tour begins at the Spring Fiesta Headquarters at 826 Saint Ann Street. You will see the downstairs of this home while the guide gives the tour introduction. Then you will walk through the Quarter learning about French Spanish and American influences on the culture and architecture of the city. The remainder of the tour will be on the outside of buildings. If you would like to see the inside of more homes join us for one of our "Open House Self-Guided Home Tours”. 12:30PM Queen's Promenade Presentation at Jackson Square A favorite tradition the Presentation at Jackson Square of the Spring Fiesta Queen and her Court. Come see our lovely Queen and Court as they are escorted through the heart of the Vieux Carre'. 3:30PM Spring Fiesta Parade Everyone in New Orleans loves a Parade. Join us at 3:30pm along Bourbon Street and Royal Street for the Queen’s Parade. A parade of horse drawn carriages slowly makes its way through the streets of the historic Vieux Carre' with its final destination the site of the Spring Fiesta Gala. In accordance with the City of New Orleans permits the parade route is determined about a week before the parade. Conditions along the route can modify the route as it progresses. Royal Street is always the best place to catch our parade. 6:30PM "Night in Ole New Orleans" Gala This is a strictly formal affair. It is in the grand ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel on Canal Street. Our Queen and her Court will be presented while a band plays. There will be an open bar and a sit down dinner. After dinner there will dancing. If you would like to see the inside of more homes join us for one of our "Open House Self-Guided Home Tours”. 1:00 to 4:00 PM French Quarter Home Tour I Begins at 826Saint Ann St. Welcome to our Open-Door Tour in the French Quarter. The French Quarter is in the heart of the old city. The Vieux Carre' comes alive when you step into the magnificent homes and courtyards where legendary New Orleanians resided in the 18th and 19th century. From the historic architecture to the hidden gardens this is sure to be one of your best-spent afternoons! Docents are present at each home to tell you about the homes history and special stories. You may meet prominent citizens of history: heroes villains vampires and voodoo queens. We provide you with a map with the homes marked so that you can walk from home to home at your own pace. These private homes are not usually open to the public. You will see the beautiful interiors with marble fireplaces grand parlors and stately dining rooms. Outside you will find quaint gardens with flowers that bloom twelve months of the year. Each tour includes different residences within walking distance of one another. Tour 2022 will include the Courtyard Gardens and a view of the rooms adjacent to the Courtyard.
